Working Cross-Party with Politicians
Most politicians – in all parties – enter politics with the idea that they can make the world a better place. Once they become MPs, the difficulty of dealing with an overwhelming workload and having to operate within a party system which often imposes three-line whips can make this seem like an unrealistic dream.
Nevertheless, many MPs find time to work in All-Party Parliamentary Groups (APPGs), building cross-party consensus on important issues – and ultimately, hoping to influence legislation for the better.
We are building contact with the APPG’s most aligned with the 99% values, and aim to support them with toolkits, frameworks and analyses, which will help them to strengthen both their policy-making and their arguments.
