Richard Burgon MP is sponsoring an event later this month on The Nature, Extent and Impact of Privatisation in the NHS. The event will be delivered by the 99% Organisation, Keep Our NHS Public and others as part of a series for the NHS Working Group of MPs.
NHS Privatisation is of vital importance to all MPs as it affects their constituents, both as patients and taxpayers. Richard will invite all MPs, but your MP is much more likely to attend if you ask them to go.
You just need to send a short message like:
Dear [MP’s name]
I am writing to you as my MP to ask you to attend Richard Burgon’s event in Parliament on The Nature, Extent and Impact of NHS Privatisation. As both a patient and a taxpayer, I am extremely concerned to see that we have sound policy on the NHS, and I would like you to go, to represent my interests.
The details are:
- Date: 24 February
- Time: from 5:00pm
- Location: Committee Room 13, House of Commons.
Please let me know if you will be able to attend.
Yours sincerely,
All you need to do is edit the text above and use this link to send it to your MP: https://www.writetothem.com/

Far too much privatisation under Wes Streeting despite his promises to keep it in free from privatisation.
Done! – to Jess Brown Fuller, Lib Dem’s. Thanks Mark for making it so easy
Return from my local MP (conservative)
Thank you for your email.
I agree with my colleague, the Shadow Health Minister, Luke Evans MP that the Government and the NHS should continue to make use of independent sector capacity to treat NHS patients, reduce waiting times and expand NHS provision.
However, it is vital that we avoid the mistakes that were made under the last Labour Government around PFI-funded projects, which still cost the NHS significant amounts of money every year in debt.
I have another diary commitment at this time but I appreciate you sharing your concern over this matter
